More Labor waste

One Nation NSW would like to question the sanity of our senior federal Labor politicians. It seems that after a string of policy failures they are intent on wasting more public money as the push Australians into a misery of debt. Billions have been lost and wasted in such schemes as the Pink Batts Fiasco, the BER, Solar panel rebates, and their soft approach to boatpeople and the list goes on. Now they want to give pensioners a set top box for their televisions at $400 apiece. The sad part is anyone can walk into an electrical retailer and pick one up for $30.00.

We believe this is nothing more than a bribe. Just like the one off payment of $900 to all and sundry Labor used when fist getting into office. Just like then most of this money will end up offshore in the pockets of Chinese manufacturers.

The benefit to pensioners you may ask? Well they will be able to see the massive increases in the cost of living when watching the news on digital TV. As electricity soars and petrol skyrockets the government gives them a set top box. This is after years of refusing to increase the pension and threatening to cut their pensions if they dare go out and try and earn an extra dollar to survive.

What is most amazing to One Nation however is the fact that Labor politicians have ridiculed our economic policies such as indexed pensions, lower individual taxes and free healthcare and dental for all Australians? This only confirms how far Labor is removed from reality as they fiddle like Nero as Rome burns.

Cheap electricity is the right of all Australians

According to constitutional law, electricity is a public owned utility, an essential service vital to our basic standard of living and in a harsh climate even our very survival. That this very basic and essential service was allowed to be un-lawfully sold off to private enterprise is by definition an act of treason. Australians were deceived when Government committed to selling off essential services (without referendum), stating it would lead to greater competition and lower prices. Now welfare agencies report an epidemic of Australians having their power cut because they cannot pay their bill. As of 2007 there were 18,000 households just in NSW disconnected from their electricity supply and more than 22,000 disconnected from gas.

One Nation warns the worst is yet to come, as reported in the Courier Mail Jan. 1, 2010. “The wholesale price of electricity will more than double within two years and triple in the next two decades under the Rudd Government's plans to tackle climate change.” Prime Minister Gillard’s plan will deliver the same. At that time recent welfare agency research of those seeking emergency assistance with their energy bills across six Emergency Relief centers in greater metropolitan Sydney, the Illawarra and the Southern Highlands shows that single parents with children (44 per cent) were predominantly the ones seeking assistance. Children were also found to reside in 60 per cent of all households included in the study.

It also revealed that while many relied on government benefits, most households weren't on unemployment benefits and were not overly high users of energy. The vast majority were careers, single mothers, pensioners and those with disabilities, most went to Anglicare struggling to pay an energy bill of $300 or less. If it continues many will die in the winter and summer months and our struggling health system will be inundated with those suffering from pneumonia and heat stroke; this will mainly consist of the elderly, infirm and very young. In the meantime it will remain warm in winter and cool in summer in the halls of parliament house. It is a core policy and a mandate of One Nation to restore its people’s assets and security.

SunRice Sellout

One Nation is very concerned with the potential buyout of SunRice by the Spanish company Ebro. Our government’s lax approach to food security has meant that many of our Agricultural assets have been snapped up by foreign companies and governments.

It has become all too clear that many of the companies who are buying our farms and food production industries are doing so to shore up food supplies for their own countries. As populations grow and farm land is lost due to growing cities, food shortages will become common. Does this mean that Australians will miss out and go hungry as the food is sent offshore? It all looks good on the government’s balance sheet but that does not guarantee us quality food on our supermarket shelves.

One Nation believes we will see a lot more of this in the future as both sides of government are believers in globalisation. They have lost interest in building a strong Australia and now create policy to adapt our country into a state of the new world order rather than a sovereign and independent country. Their ignorance to the need of our producers is obvious as profits flow offshore and thousands walk off the land or go broke.

One Nation believes the answer is rural co-operatives. A government owned bank could supply low interest loans so that the Farmers co-operatives could build the business with profits staying local. Further this with a guaranteed water supply and infrastructure improvements in better roads and rail and we can create a viable and profitable business that the whole communities share in.

Time to protect our culture

There have been in recent times attacks on our Australian culture and identity. Customs that have been practiced for centuries are belittled by those who aspire to remove all traces of our heritage. There are even those in our community who would like to see the end of Christmas and Easter celebrations as they pander to minorities. Do these people suggest that instead of teaching our children about these long practiced rituals of love and sharing we should ban them in favour of some minority religious or cultural celebration?

It seems that in every way we are trying to appease some minority or other. From our government bowing to self interest groups when deciding policy or funding, to the current weak kneed approach to boat people and criminal detainees who destroy government property at will. It doesn’t matter which of the major parties you look at they have entrenched weaknesses and favour certain groups based on agenda or political donations.

People who migrate to Australia must accept our customs, laws and culture without question or go home to where they came from. Furthermore they should have to learn English and Australian history before they can gain full citizenship. Australians should never be forced to change customs, laws, celebrations or even the way our food is prepared to appease any culture or minority religious group.

One Nation believes our country and identity is worth fighting for as hundreds of thousands of Australians have done so in numerous wars to protect our sovereignty and freedom. Many of them made the supreme sacrifice to protect what we have and we will certainly not allow their memory to fade nor will we surrender the country they fought for.

Villawood Riots

One Nation condemns the criminal actions of the rioters at the Villawood detention centre. It seems that the same people who destroyed taxpayer’s property at Christmas Island have been allowed to do the same at Villawood. This is after our government spent tens of thousands of dollars chartering a private plane to fly them here at taxpayers’ expense.

Yet again the Australian people will have to pick up the bill for the Labor governments incompetent and soft policy towards illegal immigrants. If they were to adopt One Nation policy and remove these economic queue jumpers immediately as they arrive there would be no opportunity for them to cause problems.

There is no doubt that our country has an obligation to allow people in genuine need to migrate here. Those who follow the correct procedure and follow the set guidelines are most welcome. Those who jump queue’s and arrive illegally are not. Our governments continued pandering to these criminals demands does nothing to send out a strong message. One can only imagine the jokes about our weak replies to this violence and the amount of money we spend on trying to pacify these parasites.

One Nation calls on Chris Bowen to get tough or get out. The Australian people have had enough. We need strong government not gross political correctness and weak kneed policy aimed to appease imported terrorists and delusional refugee advocates.

Paulines shock loss

One Nation congratulates Pauline Hanson on her candidature for the NSW Legislative Council.

Considering her late entry and the derogative attacks aimed at her by political opponents and segments of the media she achieved an outstanding result. However it can be seen that the voting system of this state and country need to be looked at when someone can win a majority of votes yet still miss out due to preference deals.

One Nation NSW is very encouraged by the swing of support back to Pauline for her position on many issues, are replicated in our policies. This gives us great hope that our success in Australian politics can only grow as more voters become frustrated with the two party system and associated corruption of our democracy.

We wish Pauline well and urge her to continue in Australian politics for One Nation will always support Independent politicians and minor parties who put Australians and their future ahead of party agenda and globalisation.

NSW Election Result

The people have spoken. They have booted the Labor Party from office with a record swing against their incompetent and factional style of government.

The Greens have also lost ground. People are waking up to their agenda and have realised that when something stinks then something has to be rotten

Thousands have supported Pauline Hanson’s return to politics and have voted accordingly. She is edging ever so close to winning a seat in the Upper House. Win or lose she has shown that there is support for common sense politics and a new revolt against politically correct censorship.

One Nation asks ‘why there is such a frenzy of finger pointing going on?’ Accusations are flying between the Greens and Labor as to who is to blame for Pauline having a chance in NSW politics. The fact is the people voted her in and they want someone to keep these scoundrels honest.

O’Farrell today claimed he was confident that despite the fact that Ms Hanson was ahead in the polls she would not get in. Interesting, for it was another Liberal politician who stopped her in the first place with a massive legal fund and a trumped-up charge.

And they have the hide to call Australia democratic.

One Nation NSW finds it amusing that Greg Combet described those who exercised their democratic right and attended today’s Canberra rally against Labor’s Carbon Tax, as ratbags and extremists. It seems that anyone who does not agree with Labor policies, are now seen as divisive and a danger to our democracy. One Nation questions what has happened to freedom of speech in this country?

It was not that long ago that the Labor Party and the unions held a long and bitter campaign to discredit the GST. All sorts of inaccurate claims and statements such as “Jobs not GST” were used. The scare campaign lasted some time and we certainly cannot remember the ALP being branded as extremists for their actions. History also shows us that once in power the Labor party did not abolish the GST but instead kept it so now the carbon tax will become a much larger extension of what the Labor party called an unfair and unjust tax.

One Nation believes that these statements are the signal of a major decline in our countries democracy. Policy is no longer debated in this country and all opponents are crushed to force an agenda. Surely this type of behaviour vindicates all that One Nation has said over the years for this is why we began and what we have been fighting against for over a decade.

NSW Labor Cover Up

One Nation condemns the Labor Party for their obvious attempt to conceal the truth by shredding documents. Not since the fall of Nazi Germany have we seen such a frenzy of file destruction to hide information from the public.

This can also be confirmed by the amount of MP’s who have resigned and will not contest their seats. Once the election is finalised and Labor is in opposition they will be but a shadow of their former selves and a rabble of inexperience. There will be no one left to blame for their past incompetence.

One Nation believes that this culture of lies and deceit is rife in the Labor Party, both state and federal, and it is not the first time a shredder has been used to hide the truth. Kevin Rudd knows all too well the benefits of destroying evidence; he followed the same course while with the QLD state government in the infamous Heiner Affair.

We call on voters to support Independent and minor parties for the only way we will ever achieve a fairer system of government is to reduce the power of the major parties and move away from agenda driven policy stimulated by shady deals with financial backers. You cannot corrupt 93 individual and Independent MP’S but it is easy to corrupt just two parties whose members must toe the line or be banished from the ranks.

MORE ON THE CARBON LIE

One Nation stands opposed to the economic bastardry that is to be served cold to the Australian people in the form of a carbon tax. While Australians will be affected by price increases, job losses and the further decline of Australian manufacturing there will be no impost on foreign manufacturers at all. They will continue to buy our coal and pollute our planet at an unprecedented rate. The Liberal Party claims to stand opposed to a carbon tax but there are many amongst them who support this agenda as many of their elite backers are set to gain a massive windfall if carbon trading is implemented. There have been no guarantees that an alternative scheme would not be raised in the future by the Liberal Coalition, only the usual opposition rhetoric that goes with the two party system.

To add insult to injury many of our coal mining companies and assets are being snapped up by Indian and Chinese companies. They all boast how they are going to massively increase the amount of coal going offshore to their homelands. Back to countries that will never implement a carbon tax and who will find it a whole lot easier to sell their goods in Australia when there is no local manufacturing left, as they all have been sent broke or offshore by Gillard’s tax. So while politicians and their media entourage draw attention to issues like immigration and boat people, calling One Nation out of touch and divisive, they are only drawing voter’s attention away from the real issues facing Australians. One Nation believes they should remember the old saying “that if you point your finger at someone there is usually three pointing back at you”, for how could anything be more out of touch and divisive than a massive tax on everything based on fraudulent science and driven by political ideology and a covert agenda.

Pauline Hanson's NSW Senate Bid

One Nation supports Pauline Hanson in her bid for a seat in the NSW senate. It has been some time since Pauline left One Nation but we continue to support many of her views and respect her determination and steadfastness in the face of negative and derogative attacks on her character.

There are those in our society, many of them in politics and even the media who continue to this day to try and discredit Pauline Hanson. The tired label of racist has been is thrown around with malice as it seems there are those who claim to support freedom of speech, but in reality attack it if it is against their own views. There are also many in the public who have been convinced that this is another attempt to grab at public money just for running as a candidate. This is a sign of complete naivety as all parties and Independents run in elections to obtain financial gain to fund their political future. How many times have Labor and Liberal contested safe seats? Either way they know that once they pass the threshold money will flow into the coffers.

One Nation believes we need more Independents and minor parties in parliament. This will be the only way our country will ever achieve true representation. With the major parties in control all we get is party politics and decisions based on agenda. This can be clearly seen by Labor and Liberal putting Pauline and even One Nation last on preferences. They will do whatever it takes to stifle true democracy and keep the control of Australian politics firmly in their grasp.

Its time for a referendum on the carbon tax

One Nation calls for a referendum on Julia Gillard’s carbon tax. The Labor party and the Greens believe they have a mandate to introduce this oppressive tax on the Australian people by conveniently forgetting they only hold power due to the bribery of a couple of Independents. They do not and will never represent the voice of the silent majority but instead peddle policy based on their own agenda.

State Labor leaders have been working towards a carbon tax for years. Policy has been put in place with complete contempt shown towards the Australian people. The public have never been consulted nor have alternative plans been looked at. Where was the debate?

Many Liberals will support Gillard and her carbon tax because of their links to big business. Many are former members of international investment firms and the banks and these organisations are pushing the concept of a market based system as they can skim the top for massive profits.

One Nation questions why we need to tax the Australian public anymore when the damage is being done offshore and by big business. Governments target individuals because they are easy prey. Why not attack the problem at the source. We say tax the imports from countries that do nothing about pollution and use this money to build our own green manufacturing base. If you add this to rebates and tax incentives for adopting cleaner production and bigger fines for pollution then you have a more positive system.

One Nation also supports better infrastructure for our cities and improving public transport. This could be assisted by an Australians bio fuels industry and we can cut pollution as we remove our reliance on imported fossil fuels. Changing to Australian made E85 bio fuel would cut individuals carbon footprint by up to 56%.

We challenge the major parties to put this very important issue to a vote and see once and for all what the Australian people want. Will the major parties have the courage to do this and come up with a more positive alternative? If the GST, deregulation of agriculture and the selloff of public owned infrastructure are any indication then we will see more of the same, an arrogant disdain shown towards the rights of our countrymen and a continued erosion of our democratic rights.

One Nation Media statement on NSW state election

As many already know One Nation NSW will not be contesting any seats at the upcoming state election. This is due to the fact that we are no longer registered in NSW, due in part to the resignation from the party of Pauline Hanson and David Oldfield in 2004. One Nation will not be in a position to reregister the party in NSW for at least 18 months.

One Nation believes more scrutiny is the order of the day and a closer look and consideration needs to be made at the independents and minor parties. We urge voters to attend candidate nights and get involved in the political process. We need a balance in parliament; not another dictatorship, as an unbiased opinion is much needed. More Independents and members from minor parties will give better representation to the people of NSW.

The major parties are making big promises. One can only wonder where the money is coming from as it has never previously been there to be used for essential services like health and infrastructure. One Nation believes we may witness a repeat of what is happening in QLD. Prime agricultural land, being sold off for mining. A large portion of the state has been earmarked for the dangerous practice of coal seam fracturing and we believe that this revenue may be used to pay for all the promises.

The Liberal Party has attacked Labor over the sell out of our publically owned electricity infrastructure. They have claimed they will stop the sell off and reverse the decision. One Nation finds this stance a little confusing coming from a party that represents the interests of big business. Have the Liberals guaranteed that no more public assets will be sold?

We urge all to take a very close look at what is being offered and what the alternatives are. The last thing we want is a situation where we jump out of the frying pan and into the fire. Who is going to keep them honest when they claim to have the mandate to do what they want?

Gillard and NZ apples

Australia apple producers must feel that their days are numbered after Julia Gillard announced in the New Zealand parliament that Australia will import NZ apples. Even the current stop clock on the importation due to concerns about Fire Blight did not stop her as she spruiked to overjoyed NZ parliamentarians that we would do as we are told by the WTO and let the apples in.

Australia has long promoted the fact that we produce the planets cleanest quality produce. This is very true and the majority of this is exported for the benefit of overseas consumers. In its place an ever growing tide of imported produce is brought in for local consumers. There lies the problem. Like New Zealand apples a lot of this food is not up to Australian standard. As a result of all the major parties signing the GATS agreement and their constant and unrelenting support of free trade Australians will have to settle for inferior products to facilitate our international trade.

Even our bio-security has been politicised and as a result too much is let slip through the once rigorous safeguards for the community. New Zealand apples confirm this. To control the Fire Bligh NZ apples are injected by antibiotics. Antibiotics in our food are a recipe for disaster as has been shown in India with the formation of a new raft of superbugs that cannot be controlled with our current range of drugs.

Add to this imported food from China. Many Chinese will not even eat their own produce as there have been thousands of cases of poisoning and even deaths from eating their food. We have had reports of prawns being harvested in sewerage and poisons and toxins found in numerous imported products. Another example of dangerous imports is American beef. This too is on a hold due to concerns of carrying Mad Cow disease yet One Nation believes it is only a matter of time before it enters our country in raw form as the WTO dictates it. We already import beef product from the US in canned foods.

One Nation calls for the GATS agreement to be scrapped and Bio-security Australia to be overhauled. We would like to see our country be responsible for our own trade decisions and look after the interests of Australian producers and consumers instead of selling them out in the name of free trade and globalisation. One Nation is against FREE TRADE as it stands, we will however actively pursue FAIR TRADE deals that first benefit and protect our own Industries and protect our clean produce from diseases afflicting imports from other Nations. This then will create demand for our produce and give us a strong bargaining position.

Multiculturalism has failed

One Nation condemns the Australian Labor Party for their closed minded attitude towards the failure of multiculturalism. After reversals in policy from Germany, France and the United Kingdom it has been clearly shown that this social experiment has failed. One Nation has been warning the Australian public for over a decade that the extreme policies of the major parties are going to create division in our country and we are heading down the same path as Europe with divided cities and ethnic enclaves.

In Europe there has been major increases in crime and civil unrest coupled with religious extremism and in many cases reverse racism and attacks on the countries own inhabitants. Murders have been committed in the name of religion and in some cases whole suburbs are out of bounds to essential services including the police and ambulance crews. As a result the leaders of many European countries now admit to the mistake they have made and are looking at ways to create a fairer system.

In Australia, our Labor government has decided to defend this disastrous policy by establishing yet another bureaucracy, the “National anti – racism and partnership strategy” backed up a junior minister being appointed as “Secretary for immigration and citizenship. One Nation is sure that this new department which will be supported by the bias and self serving Multicultural Council will swallow up large amounts of taxpayers’ money while trying to force the lie down the Australian publics necks.

More needs to be done to decentralise immigration from the cities with agreements made on entry to live in rural areas. This will help break down the enclaves that are forming in our capital cities. Strict numbers need to be set for immigration as to allow integration and debate needs to be had on the future ethnic makeup of immigration to avoid civil unrest.

Will this come from the major parties? No. Their agenda dictates policy as much as the commands of the UN who in reality are the ones running this country. This is the result of the hundreds of treaties that have been signed without the consultation of the Australian people.

Deregulations curse on our country

It can be clear from the recent actions of the major supermarkets the Labor /Liberal policy of deregulation has failed. As a result of removing government protection for our farmers they are now at mercy to the whims of the major supermarkets. Greed and market dominance rule the day as the supermarket duopoly vie to outdo each other at the farmers expense. This can be confirmed with the recent attack on the price of milk.

It doesn't matter which industry or sector you look at, you can see the negative impact of this ideology. All areas of food production are affected. Supermarkets very rarely lose profit. In fact they increase it as they force growers to accept their offer. Australians are addicted to convenience and as a result the number of markets for produce has shrunk. Farmers now have to accept the supermarkets offer or plough their produce into the dirt.

Banks are another example. Charging what they want in interest and fees they thumb their nose at our government's continued calls for lower charges. It is amazing the Australian people have not seen through the crocodile tears of the major parties, as it was their policies and actions that have created this mess and they are only too aware they have no power over an unregulated industry. Every year the Australian people are slugged more and more and bank profits are breaking records yet nothing changes.

One Nation has always supported the policy of regulated markets. This would guaranteed our farmers have a set price for their product at the farm gate. It would also protect the public from profit gouging from the banks and major retailers. Regulation does not necessarily mean government should control all facets of primary production and business operation but can be used as a means of safeguarding producers and consumers. At the least we need to protect our agriculture to ensure it does not go the same way as our manufacturing industry.

Time to fix our unfair tax system

Australians are struggling. There is no doubt that recent increases in interest rates combined with higher prices at the checkout are putting many Australian households under pressure. To confirm this you only have to look at the public response to Julia Gillard’s new flood Levy. For most Australians the burden will be only a couple of dollars a week yet as much as 90% of the public are against it. It is clear people have had enough.

Over the last two decades the major parties have attacked individuals and small business with a raft of new taxes. The system is far too complex and unfair. Wage earners and small business pay the lion’s share of government revenue in this country as corporations and the big multinationals pay little or even nothing into the public coffers. The average person does not have an army of accountants to protect them and find loopholes in the system and with the current complexities of the tax act there are plenty of them to be found and exploited.

Why are individuals overburdened? One Nation believes that because they are an easy target and all levels of government know it. It is easy for federal, state and local governments to target them and all are concerned about economic figures so they leave the big boys alone. This makes the headlines look good as they sweep the associated human misery under the carpet. This can be seen by the increasing numbers living on the streets and those who have joined the working poor and cannot afford life’s basic essentials.

The Henry Review, set within strict parameters does little more than suggest a whole new range of taxes on individuals. At the same time corporations are paying record executive bonuses and the banks boost profits every year. Where will it end?

One Nation calls for a complete system overhaul. We have put forward the debits tax system which has been backed by economists the world over. This one only tax would eliminate all other taxes and streamline the system. It would provide a balance to the system with all paying their equal share.

The major parties have rubbished it and written it off. Why you may ask? We all know that Labor and Liberal get millions from the corporate sector in donations. There is no way they will support a fair tax as their masters will cut off the funds if they have to pay their fair share. Even Chinese government owned agencies have thrown millions into the major parties. If you are asking for representation from Labor or the Coalition you are wasting your time as their support has been bought just like every other public owned piece of infrastructure this country ever owned.

Only your vote will bring about long term change for this country and we urge you to use it wisely.

Labor's Flood Levy

Yet again, the typical response to a problem faced by our Labor government is answered with a new tax. There is no doubt that the bill to clean up Queensland and Victoria after the recent floods is going to be substantial but One Nation believes there is adequate money available in the budget with a few minor changes to priorities .The last thing Australians need is to be slugged with a levy as many are already struggling with our countries unfair tax system.

We suggest our Labor government stop spending so much offshore. It is one thing to help other countries in their time of need, but millions are sent offshore in social programs. One Nation acknowledges the Liberals call to scrap the $43 billion fast internet scheme and use that money to rebuild our infrastructure. The difference is we are saying it because it makes sense; not because we know Labor will never oblige, or to score cheap political points.

Maybe we should view this crisis as a reason to go a step further to restructure all our water resources’, building new dams, levy banks and to accomplish what has been sought since federation - flood and drought proofing of our country.

It is time for leadership and investment in to the future of our great country. Will we get that from the major parties? We believe there will be the usual finger pointing and posturing but ultimately the Australian taxpayer will once again pay for the major parties waste and incompetence.

Lib/Nats deceive public in MDBP debate

It is time to call a spade a spade and One Nation wants to say outright that the public and Irrigators are being deceived by the Liberal/National Coalition.

The Murray Darling Plan is based on the 2007 Water Act. This act passed by the Coalition during the Howard years does not take the livelihoods of growers and irrigators into consideration nor does it concern itself with the future of the towns along the system. If anything the environment is the only issue mentioned. Reeking of the stench of the UN agenda 21, the same treaty that brought you the Native Vegetation Act, it flies straight in the face of common sense and damns all those who built their lives along the river.

While the Labor government have taken the issue a lot further and seem intent on driving a nail into the coffin of Australian agriculture the blame has to lie with those that set the ball rolling. It has to be understood that both Labor and Liberal Party supported UN agenda 21. Labor passed the treaty in 1992 and Liberal did not rescind it during their years in power. Instead they chose to use it as the basis of their 2007 Water act. Both Labor and the Coalition have signed thousands of treaties with the UN and many of them have taken away this country’s sovereignty.

One Nation urge all those interested to look up and verify this information as it is easily found online. Julia Gillard and the Australian Labor party should hang their heads in shame for the offer of $1 million dollars to Queensland’s flood victims. With thousands of homes destroyed and crops in ruin it must be a real slap in the face for Queenslanders to be offered such a paltry sum.

Billions of dollars each year are sent offshore in foreign aid and government sponsored programs including 500 million for Indonesian schools, but very little has been put forward for this “once in 100 year” flood. This act only confirms what One Nation has been saying for some time now. Our politicians are more concerned about their image on the international stage then the welfare and livelihoods of Australian citizens.

Yes it is a global village and the world is a much smaller place due to technology but One Nation says charity must start at home and our government’s duty of care is with the Australian taxpayer not citizens from foreign shores.

There is one thing that they do not want us to know about with the QLD floods around Rocky & Nth QLD? Most Australians are also unaware of the sheer magnitude in area of these godforsaken hell holes left & created in our Nations fertile surface mostly rural land! I recently flew over these mines around Rocky & it size & devastation is mind blowing!! Where, our Nations mineral resources are being stolen from us along with all our other assets, like our Power & Water etc; etc;! With our coal they give it away for around $3.00 a tonne of which they then sell to our enemies for approx. $300 tonne!! Just like Howard’s gas sale to the Chinese for $0.3 cents per litre CIF!!

We all heard that traitor Brigalow Bligh on the same newscast this morning say that these very hell holes supplied approx. 40% of the world coking coal? Well if this is the case then how come with all of their so called mining booms that they say we have, why have we remained & continually hovering over a minus 0.3 GDP for the last over three decades, plus a $3 Trillion foreign debt that we are only able to pay but for the $100 Mill per day interest bill?? But lastly why then do we have an economy that runs completely on debt when we are supposed to be supplying 40% of coal to the world??
The sad fact is, all this is just the tip of the iceberg? For now unfolding is truly one that no one is talking about or even preparing for?? Not that there will be one single thing that can be done to stop this catastrophe about to unfold or be realised when the rising raging flood waters recede! No I am not talking about the terrible personal devastation & loss that many Queenslanders will suffer which is totally unimaginable to many of us? But one perhaps in a scale so large none can gauge or even contemplate?
First I must say that many farmers know that it is only the native grasses & vegetation that holds the soil together and to help to minimise soil erosion! However once you remove these there is no defence to the forces of Nature! Or yes its worst enemy? Man!! For what I saw from the air over the area & of pictures I have seen of the open cut hell holes all over the Nation there is virtually around the workings, no vegetation or trees over many tens of thousands of Sq km’s!! Mix this with a raging flood & what do you get??
No doubt many of us saw the today’s news footage of the massive towering mine dragline completely submerged except for the very top few feet of the jib protruding from the murky depths? I wonder why they did not give us a more detailed coverage of the waters that have no doubt filled these gigantic caverns that go to the very bowels of the earth itself!
Not to mention the massive run off from the same mountains of the earth's bowels that were turned upside down inside out along with the exposed seams of coal! not to mention the huge massive piles of coal heaped high like huge mountains being stockpiled & ready to be loaded onto coal trains km’s long!!

Perhaps my fears are not justified? Please someone tell me that they are not?

However in my logical mind I know & I fear I am right for where will all this toxic run of from these 100s of 1000s of square km’s of devastation end up??
First over all of the North’s pristine rural lands!! Then into all the Estuaries Rivers & streams throughout four States then yes into the ocean around the Barrier Reef itself!! Just what will settle over all of these sensitive areas after it’s over?
Forget about Global warming this is pure & simple a pollution disaster of a gigantic scale & when it is all over I hope that the media or someone investigates it all & reports it to Queenslanders first & then to the Nation truthfully & accurately !

Help is needed for Australian business

One Nation NSW calls on the major parties to revaluate where their trade policies are taking Australian small to medium business. Not only do business have to compete against the big chains that more often than not monopolise the market with massive advertising backed up with cheap directly imported goods they now have to contend with online shopping direct from the foreign wholesalers. The result is more business closing down and more money moving offshore.

When tariffs were removed on imports and our government embraced free trade our businesses were told that to assist with their growth, government would slash the cost of doing business and help them become more competitive. After successive governments both Labor and Liberal this has not been achieved. Business costs have soared and now all Australians pay much more for fuel, electricity, finance and transport. There is no possible way our business can compete against foreign labour rates as low as 29c per hour (Vietnam) when the cost of doing business in our country is so high.

As a result our manufacturing and a large part of our agriculture has disappeared only to be replaced with imported goods or to be bought in a fire sale by some international cartel. One Nation does not want to see our retail sector go the same way and be replaced with foreign owned internet wholesalers. What will be left of this country when we have to purchase not only foreign owned and manufactured goods but we can only buy them from foreign owned or offshore business?

It is time to put the interests of global business last and start to once again focus on the needs of Australian small business and manufacturing. Our suggestion is to reintroduce tariffs where we cannot compete and give small business the required tax breaks and incentives needed to sell Australian goods competitively. Further to this a fairer tax system for individuals with foreign companies paying their share will raise much needed capital to lower the cost of doing business with improvements in infrastructure and investment into alternative fuels and cheaper power.

This will keep the wealth local and build healthy communities, not the bank balances of the foreign elite and middleman as is happening with globalisation and the insanity of total an unabashed free trade.

Every Australian should read this, and start to wonder how we managed to let this happen........why are they still there??? Moreover, it is 'written' by a bloke that gets ridiculed day in and day out!!!!!

Certain things paint an indelible image in your mind. One happened to me lately when my mother in law told me that whilst doing meals on wheels in winter there was always a place you could find pensioners, in bed. This was not because of an infirmity but because they could not afford the price of the power to stay warm outside bed. How completely self indulgent and pathetic we have become that in our zealous desire to single-handedly cool the planet we have pandered to those who can afford the power bill over those less fortunate to avoid privation. How pathetic we are that South Korea, using our coal, can provide power cheaper to their citizens after an 8,300 km sea voyage than we can with power stations in our own coal fields. Oh yes, aren't the solar panels doing a great a job. In Canberra last week it was revealed that they would add $225 to the average electricity bill, and that the Government's proposed carbon tax would raise them by a further 24%.

It is just that the poverty creep is making its way up the social strata, though I doubt it will reach the most affluent group The Greens. Bitterness on my part I suppose but I represent a party that represents the poorest electorates.

Now what other lunacy are we considering, none other than shutting down the Murray Darling Basin so you can have a diet that suits the misery of the winter nights temperature in the unheated house.

Yes we have become so oblivious to the obvious because the loudest voices are not necessarily the neediest. We spend; sorry borrow, for school halls that do not make students more competitive in competency. No school hall taught a student a second language or a higher level maths. We borrowed for ceiling insulation and burnt down 190 houses and 4 installers died. We borrowed for aimless $900 cheques as we decided that somehow imported electrical goods to Australia would reboot the US economy. We borrowed so much that we are now 170 billion dollars in gross debt.

We are told not to worry about gross debt, its net debt that counts. Well try that out on your local bank manager .Try paying him back what you think you owe him, because of what you think others may owe you. Not surprisingly he will direct you to what is noted on your loan statement. It is funny how the people who try to assuage our concerns with the net debt myth can never clearly identify what are the items that make up the difference between the figure on the Office of Financial Management website as Australian Government Securities outstanding and their miraculous net debt figure.

Since the election, the Labor-Green government has borrowed an average $1.6 billion each week.
Every fortnight that amounts to three new major public hospitals or the inland rail from Melbourne to Brisbane. Not bad going for a country that cannot keep its pensioners warm..

Whilst we are waiting we are merrily selling at a record rate our agricultural land, mines and now the hub of commerce the ASX, so that when the day of reckoning for or children comes they can try and get out of trouble by working fastidiously for someone else and hoping they feed them.

The average foreign purchase of agricultural land over the past two years is 2.7 billion a year or more than 10 times that of the average of the previous 10 years. [Apparently there is no control over ownership of our land by foreign countries and/or foreign persons. There is no federal government or any state government that has a register of foreign owned land... apparently].

So when is all this going to change? When are we going to shake ourselves out of this dystopia that we are inflicting on others less connected but more affected by the self indulgent political delusion. What is our current solution to the very real problems becoming more and more apparent at the bottom end of the lucky country?

Well apparently it is gay marriage Yep I am sure that will warm the cockles of their hearts, if not their living rooms, that our nation's wisest are going to engage in hours, possibly days at the end of the political year on gay marriage. Then when we are finished with gay marriage we may have enough time to engage the remainder of our time on euthanasia. You cannot reduce power prices without increasing the supply of cheap power. No other nation has an earnest desire to feed you before they satisfy their own. It is a fluke of history that you are here in this nation but luck is easily lost with bad management and naive aspirations.

One Nation demands an apology be made by Labor and the Coalition to Australian apple growers. The decision handed down today from the World Trade Organisation forcing Australia to import apples from New Zealand defies all logic and has the potential to destroy the Australian apple industry forcing many off the land and into bankruptcy.

It is incomprehensible that we now have to take orders from foreign bureaucracies. With the signing of the GATT agreement and later the GATS treaty the decision as to what Australia does in all areas of trade has been handed to a foreign power. These treaties, we believe, will destroy Australian agriculture and many associated industries.

The public must never forget that Labor, Liberal and the Nationals all supported and signed the GATT and GATS treaties without consulting the Australian public or industry groups. They must also be made aware that there have been many other treaties signed with organisations like the World Trade Organisation, the International Monetary Fund and even the United Nations that have affected this country’s sovereignty and continue to wear away at our democratic rights.

We ask the public to reconsider One Nation as a political option as we can guarantee that if in government we will rescind these detrimental treaties and once again put all Australians first when making decisions on an international level.

When a piece of clothing can be used to try and pervert the course of justice and ridicule our legal system then it is time to say enough is enough. It is time to say no to this divisive and confronting garment and ban its use in public. The full face veil or burqa is not mandatory in the religion of Islam and wearing it is a matter of choice. Banning this controversial garment is no more restrictive than banning people from walking into a bank with a motorcycle helmet on.

One can only imagine how difficult it will be to change these practices if the politically correct give Muslims the right to implement Sharia Law and operate outside of mainstream Australia. Combine that with the fact that there will soon be Muslims groups running for parliament and we have a situation where the laws and values of our country will be under attack by using our own democratic system against us. It is time for Australian politicians to stand up and say once and for all that Australia operates under the one set of laws and constitution and we will not pander to any individual group or religion

Australia at the crossroads

Australians need to make a choice. Do they want our country to be an independent country that makes decisions based on what is in the best interest of Australians? Or do they want our country to be part of a global scheme where many decisions are made offshore, by people who they will never meet and most definitely never vote for? It may seem like a silly question but there are many people in this country today who do not realise we are already heading towards the second option.

Our democracy and rights are being stolen from under our very noses. With supporters for global government in both the Labor and Liberal camps there have been a dramatic shift in the last twenty five years towards the global system. Our politicians now pander to foreign countries and their people while Australians are ignored. Trade deals are done with foreign business interest in mind and whole industry segments are lost as the globe is carved up in new international deals.

Millions of Aussies are struggling with financial hardship and tens of thousands live on the streets. Our standard of living is in rapid decline and many can’t make ends meet. Pensioners struggle to survive and government services are now in foreign hands. Service is no longer a part of the equation as our population is milked for profit to be sent offshore. The middleman is making massive profits while our farmers are walking off the land. Consumers pay no less as they are robbed at the till by monopolies. Even cheap imported consumer goods and government handouts cannot sustain our living standard.

As we become slaves to tax and foreign corporations we have to ask where this is heading? We are no longer protected from corporate greed as our services are privatised and the banks run amuck plundering at will.

It is time to stand up and say enough is enough. Look past the spin and lies. Study up and see the truth for it is there for those who want to see. Remember there are those with vested interests pushing the lie. What does One Nation have to gain? Our only goal is a strong an independent country, not a proud race in slavery.

ITS TIME FOR ACTION !!!!

It is time for action and the Australian people want it now. We need leadership from Australian parliamentarians on the issue of illegal boatpeople and we need policy put in place that represent the wishes of the Australian people. There has been too much pandering to self interest groups and the Greens. One Nation says enough is enough.

Now that the legal fraternity and the high court have become involved it has become an issue of individual rights over the rights of the Australian people. One Nation questions how an illegal immigrant who breaks laws and offers bribes to bypass the system and invade our country should be given the same legal rights as a hardworking Australian taxpayer. Our system has gone mad and this is, we believe the result of rampant political correctness and our countries involvement in detrimental treaties with totalitarian organisations like the United Nations.

We say, turn them around as soon as they reach our waters and push them to an offshore destination. If they do not reach our country they cannot utilise our system against us. We also believe that the captains and crew of these illegal vessels should be severely punished as the little rap on the fingers they get now is a joke. Many of them laugh about the hotel conditions they have to endure before going back to the large sum of American dollars waiting for them at home.

It is time for the Australian people to have a voice for it is them who have to pay the extra $1 Billion per annum to accommodate this madness. Let us put this issue to a referendum and have a vote on an important issue for once and not just some symbolic vote winner for the major parties. We offer this challenge to the major parties with a reminder of their duty of care for the Australian people.

Will they respond with action? We very much doubt it as they only act on the orders of their new masters the UN.

Did you notice recent reports that one Richard Lourey is abroad hawking Australian water ? Yes, he's a water marketeer. Yes, he's selling Australian farm water to investors in Asia, Europe and North America. Yes, he's trying to flog water rights along the Murray-Darling Basin ! Surely you remember the Murray-Darling Basin ? Yes, that's the one: the major river system for the eastern half of our continent that doesn't have enough consistently runing water to survive, let alone to satisfy the already rapacious demands of its human exploiters. Yet he's trying to get overseas speculators in on a bit of wheeling and dealing in its precious flow ? It shouldn't come as a surprise if you look at recent history.

The World Bank:

The water privatisation policy of the World Bank was articulated in a 1992 paper entitled "Improving Water Resources Management". The Bank believes that water availability at low or no cost is uneconomic and inefficient. Even the poor should pay...

In 2003 the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists discovered that despite the World Bank's contentions that it does not "force" privatisation on the poor.....Using data available from the World Bank Web site, ICIJ analysed 276 loans labelled "water supply" awarded by the bank between 1990 and 2002. In about one third of the projects, the World Bank required the country to privatise its water operations in some way before it received funds.

Here in good old New South Wales the free marketeers didn't need the helping hand of external "persuasion": water privatisation here seems to have been kicked off at the COAG meeting in February 1994 with the descision to establish an open water market as part of a national push towards a National Land & Water Resources Audit 2002-08.

This local philosophy was consistant with the World Bank's approach. An article "Tradable Property Rights to Water How to improve water use and resolve water conflicts" ( PDF 159KB ) that appeared in the World Bank's Public Policy for the Private Sector February 1995 edition took the now familiar line that.....

...Tradable water rights can help shift water to high value uses in a way that is cheaper and fairer than some of the present alternatives...Under a tradable water rights system, the public sector's role in the construction, operation and maintenance of hydraulic infrastructure can be reduced to financing selected high-return activities with strong positive externalities or public goods characteristics. The market-not the-government-will determine the allocation and pattern of water use and the prices charged for water rights...

A great idea if they're creating a true market instead of a casino, and if the players and the regulators can be "trusted" with our most precious resource of all. But they weren't and they can't.

Commoditisation Of Water In NSW:

The Carr government introduced the Water Management Act in 2000. It's most significant change was that one did not have to own or occupy land to hold a water licence. It permitted them to be held by anyone, including a passive investor, allegedly facilitated objectives such as maximising the social and economic benefits of water to the community while being consistant with the maintenance of long-term productivity of land. Unfortunately this kind of government propaganda, dubious economics and high fallutin` "public benefit" claptrap prevailed in the absence of any objective public benefit or organised community opposition.

Ongoing concerns have been raised about privatisation. The ultimate question is whether or not the punative intention of the legislation has played out ? You can bet it hasn't, and it won't. Haven't we already seen farmers express concerns about Maquarie Agribusiness buying up water rights to secure water for its investments ?

Privatisation:

Not long before Carr took up his post with Maquarie Bank his government laid the groundwork for a futures market in water rights. A NSW State Water media release from July 2005 reads:

...A water index futures market would provide reliant, or water exposed businesses with an opportunity to hedge their risks to future climatic factors, particularly water availability. An ability to hedge future risks leads to better informed investment decisions and in turn stimulates economic activity, creating jobs and more certain profits for businesses. The establishment of a futures market would enable financial service organisations to develop simple yet effective products for the rural community designed to reduce the impact of drought and flood...

Rubbish ! "Financial service organisations" exist to make profit and they will profit by selling water to "miners" or farmers, who are ultimately the only other real market in rural Australia, at prices that guarantee their profits. The press release doesn't mention environmental concerns or any limitations on the activities of overseas "investors" or local speculators.

Essentially buying water now operates, it seems like a bet on future scarcity but with a guaranteed "win" for those who have the money to play. In the driest inhabited continent on the planet and its drought conditions, the only way for the price to go is up. It won't be long before those who can afford to pay for the water will have the luxury of it. And domestic consumers are going to suffer as much as our surviving farmers.

Water Brokers:

Now with such a wonderful, well thought out scheme to benefit all and sundry one would have thought that the NSW State Government would have had an effective licensing regime in place when it introduced Water Management Act 2000. After all, everyone else seems to be regulated nowadays.

Apparently not. The National Water Commission did commission the Allen Consulting Group to investigate national and jurisdictional governance arrangements for the conduct of market intermediaries and appropriate governance options, but a "minimalist intervention" approach was recomended.

So the wheelers and dealers are free to wheel and deal, substantially regulated only by the general law: for water brokers that are corporations the ( Federal ) ACCC has released a publication called Water brokers and exchanges-your fair trading obligations, and for partnerships or sole traders the equivalent State laws administered by the ( NSW ) Dept, of Fair Trading come into play. If that arrangement is OK, why was Waterfind, one of Australia's main water brokers calling late last year for more regulation of water brokers ?

Conclusion:

Our "new" federal government needs to take responsiblity for managing Australia's limited water resources. Within the framework of addressing water and food security, the requirements for industry and agriculture have to be met in tandem with the needs of the general population. Private enterprise does not and will not distribute water equitably or in a way that promotes the national interest.

It needs to be noted that if the federal government does not voluntarily assume the role of conservator and distributor of water, acting without fear or favour to promote the national interest, sooner or later scarcity will force that role upon them. Corrupt state governments can have no part in such undertakings, and neither can cashed up private companies who grease the wheels of government for their own ends.

Time to reign in the banks

One Nation commends Joe Hockey for standing up to the banks and saying enough is enough. After years of ruthless theft from the public’s hip pocket it is time to say no more to the greed and contempt shown by the major banks towards the Australian public. People are tired of the same old excuse of looking after shareholders as one CEO after another try and outdo each other by seeing how hard they can squeeze consumers.

Why is regulation in this country such a dirty word? With so many government services being privatised regulation is essential to protect consumers from profiteering and greed. Maybe with strict guidelines in place we will see the gap between the rich and poor close a little. It is hard for many who battle from week to week to except the massive profits being made by the banks only for them to turn around and try and up interest rates when times are tough. What are also unpalatable to the public are the massive rates of pay handed to bank executives when so many Australians struggle to pay for food or power.

One Nation must remind voters that if the Labor and Liberal party were to adopt our policy of a people’s bank like the original Commonwealth Bank we would not be having this discussion. A government controlled bank would lower interest rates and charges creating competition. This would set the market standard for all to follow and would eliminate at once excessive profit taking.

Let us put this important decision to the people in the way of a referendum. It is time to remove party ideology from this debate and hear the voice of the people as this decision more than any other affects all Australians.

Labor has let down the Aussie worker

For generations the Labor government has claimed to represent the average worker. Working with unions they fought to improve working conditions and increased wages. In return for this service they have been handsomely funded by the union movement having access in millions in union dues for their election campaigns and their endorsement.

Somewhere over the last twenty years things changed. While Labor supporters blindly voted for Labor believing they were being looked after, the Labor party has shifted its focus. Labor no longer represents Australians. They have deregulated industries and supported foreign companies with policy to swallow up and control Australian business and assets. Further to this Labor promotes the importation of food while implementing policy that restrict Australian owned companies with red tape and increased costs in doing business.

The Unions are starting to lose faith and are turning to the Greens. One Nation believes this is like jumping from the frying pan into the fire with Greens policy that will put the nail into the coffin of Australian business. Not only do they support more extreme environmental taxes there are a raft of new taxes and charges on business and policies that will destroy Australian agriculture.

Who is left you may ask? Well there is One Nation of course. We support Unionism; we support the rebuilding of Australian manufacturing and agriculture. We believe in fair trade not free trade and we are about a strong Australia not globalisation. One Nation wants a fairer tax system and believes government services should stay in government hands. Not only that we believe in the re-regulation of essential services such as banking that will remove big businesses hands from Australians back pockets as they steal and plunder in profits name.

For those who question why we are constantly attacked by Labor and Liberal Party and labelled divisive and dangerous, this is simple. Labor wants global socialism, a level playing field and wealth equality on a global scale. For this Australians must suffer to help establish their new world order. Liberal however desire global capitalism with open world markets controlled by the rich and elite. What does One Nation desire? We just want to represent the voice of the Australian people and fight for a strong Australia.

As a generous people we are more than happy to continue to help persecuted individuals or groups in their own countries, or in the next nearest neighbouring country. But be flooded in our own country – never!

Julia Gillard has no mandate whatsoever to place 1500 asylum seekers in the Northam Military camp, or anywhere else in Western Australia for that matter. The fact that the camp is Commonwealth territory is irrelevant. That camp, like every other square meter of this nation, belongs to the people. The Commonwealth is the servant of the people, not its master. We refuse to accept these so-called asylum seekers.

Like myself, thousands of West Australians trained and prepared themselves to defend this Nation at that very camp and we have no intention of letting it become a home for foreign immigration queue jumpers with a good sob story.

To PM Gillard we say “You hold the Prime Ministership of the Nation in controversial, even tenuous, circumstances. Push us, and it won’t be the Governor, I will be the people who will remove your commission in a flash.

Prime Minister, get off your high horse, you are our servant. The mass of the people, not foreigners, not tax payer funded do gooders, not your faceless party masters and string pullers, own this nation.

Don’t hide behind your treaty obligations. No treaty on earth, no foreign law, comes before the values or the will of the people of this nation and this state. We are free men and women, not your slaves, not slaves of the United Nations Human Rights Commission. We are pawns to nobody!

Cease, desist, do not spend another cent of our money on this issue lest the people rise in open rebellion against you in Western Australia, then through the simmering Murray Darling and right to the eastern seaboard.

The people of Western Australia have zero confidence in your governance of our state.

In the eyes of the world you have made the lucky country a nation of suckers.

We, the people, demand this announcement by PM Gillard be reversed forthwith. We further demand that the Western Australian State government stand up and reject this decision in its entirety.

In addition, we demand that the Nationals support the Liberals to knock down this assault upon our freedoms.

When Brown was just a comical shoot from the hip opposition Senator things were oh so easy for he and his cohorts of ignorant latte sipping inner city fried rice munching Greenie frauds. Now that he and his party of lying scheming opportunists are part of the most incompetent government shambles since the Whitlam era, it's run for the hills, rather than face the wrath of farmers, small business people and their families.
PM Julia Gillard has also hitched up her skirts and backed off at a million miles an hour as her champions (the multi-retread Simon Crean and his sorry side kick Water Minister Tony Burke) sputter and stumble into a minefield of spreading national discontent.Farmers in Griffith are only following in the proud tradition of their forefathers at the Eureka stockade. Today, instead of disgruntled miners, pistols and rifles it was shouts, fist shaking and the burning of copies of the hated Murray-Darling Basin Authority's draft "guide" for water allocations.
"Why isn't the minister here to feel the anger of the people, instead of sending some bureaucrat out to hide behind," asked retired farmer Alan Chesworth.
Mr Cudmore, a rice farmer near Moonambel, said city people who branded irrigation farmers "environmental vandals" failed to see the efforts to save water that farmers had made.

It really is time the inner city Greenie coffee set took a look from under their cool sunglasses towards the real world. Why, they might even discover who actually butters their bread and grows their fruit and rice. Hello! It's our farmers you fools!

As one gnarled old farmer put it "It's pretty bloody simple! Build more dams!"And that's just a fraction of what One Nation would propose as part of an urgent, fully costed national study to resolve a viable, sustainable, one hundred plus year water storage and management plan for the nation.

It is time for our pollies to get real with water policy

One Nation has to question what is driving the Labor party in its quest to destroy agriculture in this country. It seems that while there is no problem in finding $43 billion to buy metropolitan votes with faster internet the cupboard is bare when it comes to Australia’s food security.

In taking the advice of the politicised Murray Darling Authority Labor has shown it had always intended on shutting down irrigation in NSW. When you combine this with the destruction of farmland in the Hunter from coal mining and market gardens being bought out and sold for real estate development then it goes a long way to prove that our governments, state and federal, are driven purely by the dollar and have no long term plan for our country’s future.

There has been no mention of water infrastructure, no talk of re-diversions, no suggestion of new dams just talk of the environment. As farmers are forced off the land our food production grinds to a halt only to be replaced with imported product. Add to this a carbon tax and we have a society who will lose not only their ability to be self sufficient in food production, but who will be at the mercy of massive increases in the cost of living and we will surely lose jobs offshore as companies search for ways to boost profits. These same increases in power cost will make it more expensive to pump water. Just another nail in the coffin of Australian enterprise.

One Nation questions why water allocation cuts are the same for our small food producers as they are for foreign owned multinationals who sell 100% of their product offshore. It seems yet again money will speak as this resource becomes scarcer. Anyone with common sense would ask why our government would rather import food then grow it here as imported food creates up to seven times more greenhouse gasses then it does to produce the locally grown product. Confirmation again, that an ETS is just another tax.

We challenge the Labor and Liberal governments to put forward a positive plan for our country’s water infrastructure instead of telling us why so many have to suffer in the name of their ignorance and the environment. Most of all we ask the voting public to question this insanity and put pressure on the main parties and the Greens where they hurt the most, at the ballot box.

It's the great disappearing act. Our skills, machinery, companies, products, homes and significant parts of our land are being sold off at a rapid rate.

Most people prefer to buy Australian, but it's often impossible to tell dinky-di goods from imported ones because our government allows confusing labelling.

"Product of Australia" means the food was grown here, while "Made in Australia" means the produce can come from overseas, but just be processed or transformed here.

Lynne Wilkinson of Ausbuy, which supports Australian owned companies and products says of the top 100 food brands, only 20 are controlled by Australian interests.

"Foreign companies use koalas, Australian flags, maps even the word Australian to infer they are Australian," Lynne said.

Tracking down an Aussie product can be like finding a needle in a haystack.

"Frozen vegies, there is not much from Australia, this is from China, and these onions are from Poland. They are made in NZ and the peas are from the UK and sold for $2 a pack," Lynne said.

"You have a major brand like Dairy Farmers which represents 54 per cent of our dairy industry, it's been taken over by the Japanese. Golden Circle, that was taken over by Heinz. CSR sugar is being taken over by a Singaporean company".

90 per cent of products on supermarket shelves are imported or owned by foreign companies. Australia's now importing more than $1.5 billion worth of fruit and vegetables per year, increasing 5 per cent every year. Bonds has moved production overseas and Arnotts is now owned by the big American, Campbells.

"Uncle Tobys is owned by Nestle the Swiss company, Just Juice is the Berri company which is owned by Kirren, the Japanese. It says "Made in Australia" and its got fully imported ingredients," Lynne said.

And the latest shock? The historical Gunnedah property, Kurrumbede, Dorothea Mackellar's homestead, which inspired her to write our most famous Australian poem, My country, has just been sold to a Japanese company for $14 million. That's right, 2600 hectares of our precious heritage is about to be turned into a coalmine.

Jo Kellock, CEO of the Council of Textile & Fashion Industries of Australia says our skills and jobs are rapidly disappearing offshore.

"It is very serious, we are very concerned about what's happened to the Australian-made content in the fashion market, it is hard to find those clothes," Jo said.

"The majority of our clothes are coming from China, then Vietnam, Bangladesh and Cambodia, and in the Third World countries they are entitled to bring those goods in duty-free, and that drives the price down in the Australian market."

We're now importing one billion articles of clothing a year.

Cue, a great Australian fashion success story, was founded 42 years ago by the same family that still owns it. CEO David Kesby says they'll never be tempted to sell out.

"One of the great reasons they love Cue is because we are still predominantly Australian made. We've got suppliers that have worked with us over 30 years. By making here in Australia we get to deliver in store, much quicker than all our contemporaries, the latest international fashions trends," David said.

"Basically all our pants, dresses and jackets are made in Australia. There is a booming backlash against imports in many quarters.

Back to basics is the concept of Aussie Farmers Direct. It takes orders online and delivers fresh food, including meat, straight from the farm to your table. Chief Executive Braedon Lord says you buy local produce and cut out the middle man and save a packet.

AUSSIES NEED TO GET REAL AND GET TOUGH ON THE LIB/LABS

Australia has lost the plot. Not only do we allow the mass of humanity invading our shores to land unopposed, we welcome them with perks such as free Skype, free cigarettes and living arrangements that would make the average homeless Australian blush.

If that is not enough we go further. People smugglers are given a slap on the wrist and put up in a jail system that they liken to a luxury hotel only to go back to their own countries to reoffend. Then our government hands out millions in compensation to those who hurt themselves in the process of illegally entering our country. In fact over $5.4 million has been handed out over the last two years.

Boat people and the vermin who feed off their desire are criminals. They have jumped the queue and have turned up without invitation. They have bribed officials and paid big money to break the rules and what do we do? Reward them.

While all this is going on thousands are living on the streets. Many cannot get a home and are on waiting lists for years and we have a large section of the community who are the working poor. Many struggle to feed their families while the cost of living skyrockets and interest rates are forced up by a high dollar and a mining industry whose profits largely flow offshore.

One Nation calls on the Labor Party to go back to their original principals and stop grandstanding on the world stage. All this talk of being a political party for the battler is pure rubbish as their policies are globalist and are designed more to appease foreign business and the UN with their global government agenda. The Liberals are no better as they are quite willing to hand out temporary work visas to provide cheap labour for the corporate friends while selling off Australian assets at a rate that would make your head spin.

Australia needs to toughen up and fight to retain our culture and identity. We need policy to benefit Australians and Australian industry. We need less people living in poverty and on the streets and Aussie kids should have access to a positive future with a strong wealthy and independent country. The two party coalitions of the Lib/ Nationals and the Labor/Greens are a sham of power and corruption. It is time for a change and voting the same way will not cut it anymore. Australians need to make a stand or do they have to hurt some more before they find the courage to stand up?

After claiming to be conservative independents and representing electorates that voted accordingly it is hard to believe that Tony Windsor and Rob Oakeshott would do a deal with the Australian Labor Party. Time will reveal the extent of the deal and the sweeteners that were offered to get the independents across to what One Nation believes is a coalition of socialism made up by the Labor Party and the Greens.

With this move to the left, Windsor and Oakeshott have confirmed to voters in their electorate their support of policies such as an ETS, open immigration and a globalist free trade agenda where everything is for sale to the highest bidder. Their claim of choosing sides based on the question of stability is laughable as we are sure Kevin Rudd still feels the pain in his back after being politically assassinated just prior to the election.
What also seems obvious is Liberal's arrogance in trying to push forward a new election rather than make a deal with the independents. They must surely feel that they have egg on their face for underestimating the intent of Tony and Rob to make a deal rather than give them another chance to win an election outright.
All in all the only positives One Nation can find in the long drawn out game of cat and mouse that has been played over the last 17 days is that maybe, just maybe we will achieve two things. One, changes to parliamentary conduct and how our politicians conduct themselves while they represent their constituents. Two, the fact the public has learnt just how much the major parties have taken the people of Australia for granted and the arrogance and lack of respect they have paid to the system in which they are elected to represent.
Regardless of the outcome One Nation will continue to fight for the rights of all Australians. We will continue to highlight the massive foreign buy up of our food production and the stupidity of the major parties in handing control of our water to foreign companies. One Nation will continue to promote the virtues of rebuilding our manufacturing and the negatives of free trade. We will not sell out our country by implementing policies based on winning votes and will stand by our ideology of a strong independent Australia, rather than becoming another faceless state in a global bureaucracy.

INTERNATIONAL investors are circling Australia's water market, looking to snap up hundreds of millions of dollars worth of our most precious national resource, with almost no government limit on how much they can buy.

Foreign investors have already bought millions of litres of water rights in our most strategic food-producing areas and are poised to buy more after the massive shake-out tipped to occur when the long-awaited Murray-Darling Basin plan is released.

The head of an Australian fund designed to cash in on future water scarcity leaves tomorrow on a trip through Asia, North America and Europe aimed at raising $100 million from investors to buy water in the Murray Darling Basin.

''There is a chronic supply/demand imbalance for Australian water which will result in higher water prices,'' says the website of the Causeway Water Fund, whose managing director Richard Lourey will scour the world for investors.

Water has become a hot-button topic for the federal rural independents locked in talks over who will form government.

Overseas stakes in our $30 billion market already include:

$20 million worth of entitlements bought by the US-owned Summit Global Management through an Australian subsidiary;

An estimated $130 million worth of water bought by Olam International of Singapore in a deal involving the purchase of almond groves in northern Victoria;

More than $30 million worth of rights in western NSW held by Tandou which has substantial overseas ownership.

Meanwhile, the chief executive of the NSW Irrigators Council, Andrew Gregson, has revealed that merchant banks have approached the organisation for advice on how European investors can pour hundreds of millions of dollars more into Australian water.

In some financial circles water is dubbed ''blue gold''. The online investment journal Investment U recently had the headline, ''The oil of the 21st century … how 'blue gold' can make you rich''.

Australia has spawned the most advanced water market in the world, with more than $3 billion worth of rights changing hands last year.

More than $2 billion of that trade took place in NSW, making this state's water market equal to the entire value of the country's wool exports.

The federal Labor government helped inflate the price by buying more than $1 billion worth of water as drought bit last year, accelerating its $3.1 billion buyback of water in the Murray-Darling Basin.

After good rains and a change to the government's tender system, prices have dropped by as much as 40 per cent this year, hurting irrigators who need to sell their water rights, but making buying into the market more attractive to investors.

''We know that water is a scarce resource in a resource-starved world,'' said Guy Kingwill, the chief executive of the agricultural company Tandou, which has substantial US and British investors.

''We are long-term investors in secure water entitlements and Australia is one of the few countries in the world where you can own those,'' he said.

Yet there is virtually no oversight from the Foreign Investment Review Board.

The federal Treasury says it never looks specifically at foreign acquisition of water licences, and takes an interest only if a foreign player is buying an agribusiness worth more than $231 million.

Mr Lourey rejects fears about ''water barons'', claiming his investment fund will allow ''water to be used in the most productive way possible. We would argue that's in Australia's strategic best interests''.

But farmers' groups are worried that big players could corner areas of the market by buying up permanent rights in whole valleys, or being able to dictate what food is grown where by controlling water.

''We don't have a problem with investment, or indeed, speculation in the water market,'' said Mr Gregson of the Irrigators Council. ''We are concerned about market dominance. It's a recently developed, relatively fragile market.''

FOREIGN OWNERSHIP

ONLY a tiny handful of water bureaucrats in each state has full knowledge of who owns the country's permanent water rights, as water registries cannot be openly searched. Some foreign acquisitions of water that have emerged include:

Summit Global Management, founded by John Dickerson, of San Diego, owns $20 million worth of water through its Australian subsidiary Summit Water Holdings. The company wants to buy more.

The Singapore company Olam International acquired nearly 90,000 megalitres of permanent water along the Murray when it picked up the almond operations of the failed managed investment scheme Timbercorp last year. The land and water were valued at $288 million.

The British investment fund Ecofin owns 20 per cent of Eastern Australia Irrigation, a company with extensive land and water holdings in south-eastern Queensland.

Tandou Limited owns Tandou Farm, near Menindee Lakes, in far western NSW. A fierce takeover battle this year has left the company dominated by the New Zealand corporate raider Sir Ron Brierley's Guinness Peat Group (28 per cent), battling it out with Ecofin (19.9 per cent) and the US company Water Asset Management ( 13 per cent). Tandou's most valuable asset is $30 million worth of water rights.

A Japanese consortium led by Mitsubishi Corporation acquired the Australian water businesses of the British company United Utilities in May.

Causeway Asset Management, of Melbourne, wants to attract $100 million from foreign investors to a ''diversified portfolio of permanent water entitlements'' in Australia.

Green Absurdity!

Just when you thought the trucking industry was making a strong recovery after receiving a pummeling at the hands of the recent "global financial crisis", along come the Greens, with ideas man and leader Senator Bob Brown and senate hopeful Lee Rhiannon.

Registration charges, particularly for B-doubles, have already been hard hit this year, thanks to a significant increase. But that's not enough for Brown and his band of merry men and women.

The Greens have come out with a proposal of increasing registration fees even further, up to the tidy sum of $23,000 for each B-double. The Greens figure the rego price hike will be an irresistible incentive to take freight off the smelly, dirty monsters which are billowing out toxic gases up and down our pristine highways and load it all on rail instead.

That way, the Greens reason it will go a long way to turning the road transport's carbon footprint into a fingerprint.

However, as the Australian Trucking Association ( ATA ) CEO Stuart St Clair rightly points out, "supermarkets don't have railway sidings out the back".

So, who is going to pay for these extra charges. Not the truck owner, that's for sure. If the Greens plan comes to fruition, the truck operator will simply pass his problem down the line to someone else-ultimately the consumer.

Today's trucks are the most efficient in road transport history. Technology is continually evolving, while increasing emissions regulations around the world are keeping manufacturers on their toes to build cleaner vehicles.

Rail, on the other hand, has never been identified as a mode that delivers general freight. It offers nowhere near the flexibility of road transport, and its environmental advantages are highly questionable. But Brown and his crew see it as the great white hope.

It harks back to the bad old days when rail was heavily subsidised and trucks were restricted on where and when they could take to the highways.

Unfortunately for the Greens, they, like the rest of us, will end up paying more for anything sold on shop floors across Australia.

The Greens already have the balance of power in the upper house, and are using it to force their harebrained schemes down the throat of ordinary Australians by blocking any bill they choose to. At the same time, they can fire up all their followers, who are somehow of the belief that fairies drop down from the sky and hand-deliver goods to retail outlets around the country.

The Greens will also have no problem getting the mainstream press onside. Any opportunity to stick the boot into trucking is accepted with glee.

Mind you, although Brown is at the helm, some of these absurd headline-grabbing Green policies are coming from senate candidate Rhiannon, who seems to be offering an opinion on anything she feels will attract media attention.

It is time for action from the NSW Nationals

Courage tenacity and grit. This is what is needed by a rural MP to bridge the unfair advantage we face between the services of metropolitan electorates over the bush. With this in mind it is the perfect time for our newly elected NSW Nationals MP’s to stand up and make their move.

The Western Australian Nationals have shown the way. Tony Crook having recently toppled the long serving Wilson Tuckey has shown the advantage in breaking from the Liberals and standing up for the rights of the country. The WA Nationals are still allies to the Liberals but unlike their eastern states counterparts not tied to their apron strings and quite willing to stand up for what they believe in. Mr Crook has already stated he was willing to sit on the cross bench to force the issue to win concessions.

One Nation believes our eastern states Nationals should follow suit and make a break from the dominating Liberal Party. Stand up and fight for the rural areas they represent and win the much needed funding for infrastructure we so desperately need. If this were to happen they could force the governments hand on funding for our much needed hospitals, roads and the development of a new national water system.
The time for a move has never been better. Strike while the major parties are at their weakest and force a deal through. The sad fact is this will take courage and the willingness to fight tooth and nail on principle. Something I believe is lacking with some of those in the Nationals ranks who are quite happy to ride to power on the back of Liberal policy rather than do what is right for the bush.

One Nation warned the major parties in 2001 to stop the high levels of Immigration. Once again Liberal and Labor are copying One Nation policy on tough border protection. One Nation will deny Permanent Residency for illegal boat arrivals and imprison boat captain and crew, sending a clear message to people smugglers, that we will turn back the boats. There are literally tens of thousands of Australians who have no accommodation and live in poverty and despair. It is a gross act of negligence that we offer accommodation and living convenience to those that we do not afford to our own citizens. Australia does not have the infrastructure in place to cope with the massive population levels that we will achieve in the next twenty years at our current growth rate. We need to do this before we can ever consider the population levels that are being forced onto us by the major parties. Strong guidelines need to be put in place as to ensure that those migrating here will embrace our values and customs and fit in to our communities rather than segregate them selves from our way of life.

Australian Jobs for Australian workers

Contract Labour is pushing Australians out of their jobs. Overseas workers arrive on temporary 457 visas and foreign students studying at our universities, only to gain Permanent Residency, are taking away jobs for Australians that live here. One Nation will abolish the Guaranteed Permanent Residency scheme and abolish the 457 visas. It is absurd that students from overseas are able to access Australian Universities ahead of our own citizens.

One Nation supports the Pensioners, they deserve an increase.

One Nation condemns PM Julia Gillard for arguing against the Pensioner increase. We would increase pensions in line with inflation. One Nation would abolish Parliamentarians high pensions and greedy lurks and perks.

No ETS or Carbon Tax!

A vote for Labor, Liberal or the Greens will increase your electricity and Gas bills by $200 over the next three years pushing a lot of people into financial difficulty. We believe Australian business; farmers or the public should not be penalized by new taxes and the associated red tape that goes with it. One Nation supports practical environmentalism and the development of clean energy, HDR, nuclear power/medicine and an Australian Ethanol industry to reduce our consumer costs. The way forward for Australia is to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and foreign oil imports.

Australia is one of the highest taxed countries on the planet. We have the GST, fuel excise, taxes on alcohol and cigarettes, income tax, capital gains tax, fringe benefits tax and soon to be a great big tax on anything that emits carbon or gasses. Even the humble old cow has been attacked.

The majority is payed by the average worker and small business. Large corporations who are now mostly foreign owned avoid paying their share as they have an army of accountants to help them slip through the loopholes.

One Nation calls for a stop to this madness. We say bin the Henry review, which only adds to the complexity of the system and create a new tax system that takes the pressure off the average Australian and puts it back onto big companies and the banks. Make those who are taking the wealth of our country offshore pay their fair share and give relief to low income earners and pensioners.

One Nations Debit tax was adopted over a decade ago after it was first presented to the world by its founder American Accountant and Economist Leonard Crisp. It was vigorously debated in New York back in September 1999 by corporate and academic professionals; it was supported by many large accountancy firms and acclaimed as a very viable tax initiative.

The 21 Century Debit Tax concept, if incorporated would remove all other taxes, levies and duties, simplifying the system and actually increasing government revenue by almost threefold. Administration savings alone would also run into the billions and it has the potential to create enough revenue to fix our aging health infrastructure plus much more.

Australia needs to get off the Liberal/Labor roundabout and look at an alternative to band aid solutions. It seems that over the last decade, small business has been forgotten as Labor and Liberal chase the family vote. Labor pushes hard at policy that benefits workers, costing small business in wages and conditions. Liberal do deals to look after their big business mates but not at the detriment of votes with the occasional feel good policy thrown in to keep workers happy.
It is obvious that very few of our government ministers have any experience in small business and when you look at some of the former professions of ministers it all becomes clear. On the Liberal side we have barristers, lawyers, company executives on the Labor side we have Unionists, entertainers and academics.
Our politicians are making it increasingly difficult for small business to survive. Red tape hinders any development and growth, Predatory practices of the big chains squeeze profit and industrial relation laws attack the bottom line. Small business pays more for finance and insurance and owners have been turned into nothing more than glorified tax collectors. This alone costs business thousands in accountancy fees or alternatively many hours on the books.
One Nation calls for a minister for small business to be appointed to this very important portfolio to look at ways to help small business grow. It cannot be forgotten the benefits small business bring to the economy and the jobs created by this sector. We believe it is more important to grow our companies into big business than let our country be flooded by any more foreign chains. We need Australians to prosper for this is where our export markets are developed. We need more Australians to have work options close to home and we believe in a strong Australian business sector over the globalist alternative of enforced slavery.

Greens adopt One Nation policy on agricultural imports.

One Nation would like to congratulate the Greens on their sudden and new found support of Australian agricultural interests. The Greens plan for food security for Australia put forward today by Senator Milne on the ABC website is a refreshing change from other Greens policy such as the controversial SEPP 46 legislation and later the Native Vegetation Conservation Act.
Senator Milne’s statement “Few are concerned about land being bought by overseas interests, about farmers being driven from the land by low farm gate prices and trade rules which discriminate against Australian growers" is exactly what One Nation has been saying for years. She also says
"In Australia, [Communist] Chinese interests are looking at buying dairy farms in Tasmania and controlling interests in sugar mills in Queensland. It is impossible to find out how many hectares of
Australian farm land have already been bought because the Foreign Investment Review Board does not keep track. How can we plan for food security if we do not even collect relevant information?"

One can only hope this common sense and practical view of Australian agriculture continues as we need all the help we can get in fighting the Free trade and globalist policies of Labor and Liberal.
One Nation would also like to ask the greens that now they support Australian agriculture, Will they call off their preference deal with Labor, due to Labors recent support of imported beef and apples? This would be a great way to show Australian farmers they are sincere in this statement and that it is not all hot air to win a few votes.

The political party founded by firebrand Pauline Hanson has called for two dedicated seats in federal parliament for indigenous people.

Queensland One Nation Senate candidate Rod Evans said the two major parties had a paternalistic attitude towards Aborigines.

"For too long we are hearing and seeing statements from the major political parties in this country about lifting various conditions for Aborigines, but very little changes in areas that are in most need," Mr Evans told AAP.

"As these members would have full voting rights in parliament without being beholden to an existing political party ... it could mean that issues that affect Aboriginal Australians would finally get unbiased support."

He admitted the policy "cuts across earlier perceptions" of One Nation, which was labelled racist by many political figures and commentators in its mid-1990s heyday.

In her maiden speech to federal parliament in 1996, Ms Hanson dismissed the fact of Aboriginal disadvantage, saying whole "industries" had cropped up to service indigenous people.

But Mr Evans said One Nation was not racist and never had been.

"I've never run into anyone in the party who is racist," he said.

"Racism is the easiest way for others to discount any credibility."

Mr Evans said the proposal could be modeled on the Maori seats in the New Zealand parliament.

One Nation is running Senate candidates in every state in the federal election on August 21.

One Nation questions the benefits of too much foreign investment.

Australian companies and agricultural holdings are being bought out at an unprecedented rate and it seems that the main political parties cannot get enough foreign investment. Daily Labor or Liberal will brag of the money being poured into the economy and the jobs that are created, but they fail to disclose how our important strategic industries are quickly coming under foreign control.

Chinese corporations owned by the communist government are buying up mining, agricultural, steel and manufacturing plants. The Brazilian government is buying up meat wholesale and distribution and strategic food industries and the Singapore government is buying up power companies, retail operations and telecommunications. It will not be long before the Chinese and Singapore governments will own more business assets than the Australian government.

Our government has made it easier for foreigners to buy Australian real estate. This has increased demand and pushed many first home buyers and Australian investors out of the market. Demand is strong and there have even been claims by Chinese investors that they will own all of Sydney’s waterfront property in the coming years. As a result it is difficult to buy a property for less than one million dollars in some average Sydney suburbs.

One Nation wants stricter controls on foreign ownership. We would introduce caps on foreign investment in strategic industries such as mining, agriculture and power production. One Nation believes that all Australians have the right to home ownership so we would shut down foreign investment in family homes. At the same time we would develop policy to help Australian business grow. We need to build industry not sell it, developing Australian ideas and inventions into new industries rather than losing them offshore.

Australia needs a positive approach to the environment

The environment is an important issue but it should not be used as an excuse to implement a big new tax on industry and households who are already struggling with massive increases in the cost of electricity, gas and the general cost of living. One Nation supports a clean and green Australia provided by practical environmentalism and the development of clean energy. We applaud the Queensland Government in its quest to develop bio fuel for aviation and believe there should be major tax breaks available for research and development in green industries.

The way forward for Australia is to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and foreign oil imports. The nuclear debate needs to be reopened and more done in the areas of rail infrastructure to assist in alleviating traffic congestion from our roads. A national recycling program would be beneficial for Australians, while changing over from plastic shopping bags to a superior quality corn starch shopping bag would completely resolve all associated environmental concerns. The Forestry commission should return to their original charter of investing in tree planting programs with a national strategy on reforestation established. This would lead to the re-development of a renewable timber industry.

One Nation wants to limit the massive surge of foreign companies buying up agricultural land for mining and introduce policies to slow the surge of useless and cheap imported products that are flooding our country by lifting quality and safety standards, especially on food imports. Common sense policies can only be a benefit for our country without having to resort to the big stick policies of Labor and the Greens, which are based more on oppressive ideologies and obscene tax revenues than practical logic.

ONE NATION CALLS FOR A NATIONAL PLAN ON INFRASTRUCTURE

Australian infrastructure is in a mess after years of neglect and being starved of funds. We are now faced with a massive bill to fix the damage consecutive Labor and Liberal governments have caused. This can be confirmed by the huge increases in the cost of electricity and gas, insufficient water infrastructure and the inescapable humiliating truth of our health system around our capital cities and rural communities. For far too long taxpayers money has been squandered on schemes subservient to those that do not desire what is in the best interest of Australians, but rather what is in their own best interest.

One Nation calls for a new national scheme to fix the problem. One Nation’s policy of an Australian superannuation scheme would potentially raise billions and instead of investing Australian retirement funds in shaky foreign markets, we should be developing an Australian super scheme for investment in infrastructure. The government can borrow from the accumulated funds at an agreed rate of return and use the money to build new roads and rail, cure our ailing health and hospital system, implement water infrastructure schemes and finance new environmentally sound base load power systems. This would lower the cost of doing business and create new industries and export markets. Other benefits will include less reliance on imported food due to increased agricultural output and a greener economy due to less vehicle pollution and cleaner energy production.

Australia needs positive plans for our future instead of new taxes and pressures on the average household. We need to think out of the square and become the country our forefathers dreamed of and not just the shell of our former greatness. Labor and Liberal have lost direction and now make policy based on the whims of foreign interests. One Nation believes it is time for a change in direction for this great country of ours. We are asking no more from the media than to give us the same opportunities as afforded to Labor, the Coalition and Green parties, so we may offer to Australians their democratic right to be informed of their choice when it comes to the policies of political parties.

One Nation would like to congratulate the Nationals for their continued effort in trying to reinstate the Single desk wheat export system. We urge the Nationals to continue their fight against the Liberals and big business to win some protection for Australia’s grain farmers.
Due to the Labor and Liberals policy of deregulation and free trade we have seen farm gate prices plummet and agricultural land snapped up at an alarming rate by foreign corporations. Thousands of farmers are walking off the land as our governments support trade deals that will have us import everything from apples to tainted beef.
One Nation will support the Nationals on any attempt to fight globalisation and urge them to part with the Liberal Party and return to their original policies of fighting for rural Australia. We hope together with One Nation and other nationalist political groups we can educate city folk of the lies of free trade and deregulation and rebuild Australia’s once proud rural and manufacturing base. This will help us reclaim our position as a strong and independent country rather than a pawn in global economic politics.

What can you say about someone who publicly announces a plan to send illegal immigrants to East Timor, without first having the Government of East Timor approve the plan? At the same time giving very few details of the proposal to the Australian public and omitting the fact those asylum seekers would have living standards way in excess of that of the East Timorese?

It is sad that a sizable proportion of the Australian media are still starry eyed over our first Women Prime Minister which can be likened to “Julia-mania”, much the same as the “Kevin 07mania” we had until his recent demise at the hands of Labors shadowy power brokers..

One Nation hopes that our media do not neglect to remind Australians of the debauched and fatal “Roof Batts” fiasco, the financial wastage of the “BER”, and the “Green Loan” scheme, The poor handling of the “Mining Tax and the “Environmental Trading Scheme” which have ballooned into billions of dollars of debt for our country. These monumental blunders have Julia Gillard's fingerprints all over them as she played a pivotal role in their formulation and implementation as deputy Prime Minister.

Her Fabian socialist ideals were confirmed when she spoke on July 12th at the launch of Blanche d'Alpuget's book on Hawke; in which she praised our ex-PM for "matchless performance in national leadership". She sees Hawke, (the man that said that “No Australian child shall live in poverty by the year 1990.), as "the benchmark for the prime ministership" and “the gold standard for any Australian head of Government"; (as quoted by the Sydney Morning Herald), she is not ashamed to say that; “I take Bob Hawke as a role model". Quite ironic when you recall it was Hawke who was deposed by Keating in much the same way as Gillard removed Rudd.

Labor and Liberal are trying to outdo the other with more and more elaborate schemes to prevent the boat people reaching our shores but have neglected to tell us how they will send a clear message to those who profit and control the trade in illegal immigration - the people smugglers.

Instead of putting these criminals up for a short term holiday with food and services in our mainland prisons, that they have described when interviewed by Aljazeera TV as being "like hotels", One Nation believes that we should be sending them and their crews instead to Nauru for twenty years hard labour. This would send a clear message and get results.

One Nation agrees with the Coalition's policy of "no identification - no asylum" and a flight straight back to where they come from, but we differ from the Coalition in wanting also a policy on what should be the cultural makeup of both refugees and regular migrants to ensure they assimilate and embrace our values. There should be a public debate on immigration and population which should be linked to a policy on the infrastructure needed to accommodate them. Our country cannot cope at present with a massive surge in population, but with the right long term plan and the rebuilding of industry and agriculture that has been ravaged by free trade, there is room for future population growth.

Members came from branches spread throughout NSW including Sydney's western suburbs, Sydney's eastern suburbs, the Riverina, Tamworth, Inverell, Gloucester and Singleton.

A new State Executive was elected of which the main office bearers were President, Bob Vinnicombe of Sefton, Secretary/Treasurer Mrs Judith Newson, State Director Jim Cassidy of Singleton, Senior Vice President Richard Putral of the Cook-Hughes Branch and Junior Vice President and Policy Co-ordinator Andrew Webber of the Central Coast.

Among items discussed at the conference were the negative effects of globalisation and free trade, the attack on the land rights of property owners that was highlighted by the Peter Spencer issue, immigration, multiculturalism and the Labor Government's push for a carbon tax without any proof that human-produced carbon dioxide is changing the climate.

One Nation will be fielding strong candidates at the rapidly approaching Federal election, both in the Senate and House of Representatives, including of course its two star candidates in Kate McCulloch of Camden and Craig Hesketh of Wagga. One Nation will continue in its efforts to show how the two so-called major parties are damaging Australia and its future.
